Emotions of American Politics: Channeling Emotions into Change

Emotions of American Politics: Channeling Emotions into Change

"How great it is when we come to know that times of disappointment can be followed by joy; that guilt over falling short of our ideals can be replaced by pride in doing all that we can; and that anger can be channeled into creative achievements...and into dreams that we can make come true." -Mr. Rogers

"Anger is not bad. Anger can be a very positive thing, the thing that moves us beyond the acceptance of evil." -Joan Chittister

In our current political climate the emotional toll on individuals and groups has become overwhelming. Join us for an opportunity to discuss the emotional burdens we carry and explore ways to channel those emotions into change. As we enter into a high stakes week in American politics specifically, please join us to share your thoughts and ideas in this dialogue focused Lunch and Learn session.

Monday, November 5th from 12:30pm-1:20pm

Moore Lounge in Pearsons (2nd Floor)

Please feel free to bring your lunch, your lived experience, and your amazing reflections!

Hope to see you there!

-Sarah Coyer and Josh Moore
