Conversational Ethics: What Would Adam Smith Have Us Do?

Emily Chamlee-Wright, President and CEO of the Institute for Humane Studies, will be giving a lecture, “Conversational Ethics: What Would Adam Smith Have Us Do?”, at 7 PM in Moore Lounge on Tuesday, April 2nd.
There will be light refreshments after the lecture.


Chamlee-Wright has strong ties to Beloit College. She was a faculty member in the Economics Department at Beloit College from 1993 – 2012 and was also an Associate Dean of the College. Chamlee-Wright (with Emeritus Professor Jeff Adams) established the Department’s Miller Upton Programs on the Wealth and Well-Being of Nations. She went on to serve as Provost and Dean at Washington College in Chestertown, MA. She is currently President and CEO of the Institute for Humane Studies, a non-profit organization in the D.C. area.
Chamlee-Wright is the author of six books and over 35 journal articles and book chapters.
