Franklin Boggs: The Art of Economies

12:00 AM
The work of Franklin Boggs (1914-2009), a longtime professor of art at Beloit College, is featured in this exhibiton. Boggs' first major work was a WPA mural, which still hangs in the Newton Mississippi Post Office. Throughout his career Boggs received commissions to produce large scale public works, but he also produced smaller works that have remained in the community. This exhibit, and a corresponding exhibit at the Beloit Arts Center, will attempt to document the life long career of this artist.
